About Us
A Garage Built on Heritage, Experience & Performance
Morgans of Beeston is a family-run vehicle maintenance and repair business with roots dating back to 1972. Founded by Philip and Nancy Morgan, the original garage operated from Beeston Wharf, a characterful wooden and corrugated metal building that was as much a part of nature as it was engineering.
Mark grew up in the garage, learning the trade from a young age and developing a lifelong passion for engines and mechanics. His early hands-on experience led him into a formal apprenticeship under a time-served mechanical engineer with experience in engine development and rectification at the Vauxhall Motors Production Plant.
After taking over the family business in 2000, Mark continued to build on MOB’s reputation for dependable, honest mechanical work. Today, the business has entered a new chapter, now based at Oulton Workshop, just outside Oulton Park on the Oulton Estate, a fitting home for a garage driven by precision, performance, and mechanical understanding.
Motorsport Experience That Goes Beyond the Workshop
Mark’s passion for engineering naturally led him into competitive motorbike racing. Beginning at club level, he progressed rapidly and went on to win the Irish Road Race Championships multiple times. Spending extensive time racing and developing engines at the Isle of Man, Mark gained an in-depth understanding of engine performance under extreme conditions, knowledge that now feeds directly into the care and attention given to every vehicle that enters the workshop.
This motorsport background sets Morgans of Beeston apart: practical experience, mechanical intuition, and an uncompromising approach to reliability.

Not only did Mark do a fantastic job but he went above and beyond for us. Rather than let us wait in the garage while he did the work, he dropped us off at the nearest place so we could get food.
